The Philippines experienced a remarkable period of growth and development during the so-called Golden Age, spanning from 1965 to 2015. This era witnessed the rise of two influential leaders who played a crucial role in shaping the nation's destiny – Presidents Ferdinand Marcos and Benigno Aquino III. Join us on a historical journey as we delve into the political landscape and accomplishments of these two iconic figures who impacted the Philippines during this golden era.

President Ferdinand Marcos: The Visionary

Ferdinand Marcos assumed office as the tenth President of the Philippines in December 1965. With his strong vision and charisma, he led the country through tremendous changes and transformations. Marcos initiated ambitious infrastructure projects, educational reforms, and implemented progressive economic policies that aimed to elevate the Philippines' status on the global stage.

His regime is best known for the implementation of several iconic projects, including the construction of the San Juanico Bridge, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and the Manila Film Center. These projects not only provided substantial employment opportunities but also showcased the country's rich cultural heritage.

To boost the country's economy, Marcos implemented various economic policies, such as the establishment of export processing zones, the development of irrigation systems, and the expansion of tourism. These initiatives attracted foreign investments and stimulated economic growth, which helped the country emerge as one of Southeast Asia's most promising economies at the time.

However, the long reign of President Marcos was not without controversy. His administration was marred by allegations of corruption, human rights violations, and political repression. The imposition of martial law in 1972 further escalated tensions within the country and led to several protests and demonstrations.

President Benigno Aquino III: The Reformer

Benigno Aquino III, popularly known as Noynoy Aquino, succeeded Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the fifteenth President of the Philippines in 2010. He inherited a nation yearning for change and restoration after the tumultuous years that followed the downfall of the Marcos regime. Aquino's presidency was marked by a commitment to transparency, good governance, and economic development.

One of the most significant achievements of Aquino's administration was his focus on combating corruption. He implemented reforms in various sectors, such as streamlining government processes, enhancing the transparency of public transactions, and strengthening anti-corruption agencies. These efforts earned him both national and international acclaim and boosted the Philippines' ranking in global transparency indices.

Aquino's administration also prioritized infrastructure development, pouring investments into essential sectors such as transportation, energy, and communication. Notable projects include the construction and improvement of numerous highways, airports, seaports, and the expansion of the country's telecommunications infrastructure.

Furthermore, under Aquino's leadership, the Philippine economy experienced significant growth. The country became an attractive destination for foreign investors, with increasing job opportunities and a thriving business environment. Additionally, Aquino implemented social welfare programs that aimed to alleviate poverty and improve the living conditions of marginalized communities.

Legacy and Reflections

Both Ferdinand Marcos and Benigno Aquino III left a lasting impact on the Philippines and its people. Marcos' grand infrastructure projects and economic policies marked an era of progress and growth, despite the controversies surrounding his regime. On the other hand, Aquino's dedication to transparency and reforms uplifted the country's reputation and paved the way for sustainable development.

As we reflect on the history of these two leaders, it is essential to acknowledge the complexities of their respective legacies. Although both presidents made significant contributions, they also faced criticism and controversies that shaped the perception of their leadership.

The Philippine Golden Age, spanning from 1965 to 2015, witnessed the transformative leadership of Ferdinand Marcos and Benigno Aquino III. They shaped the nation's development, leaving behind a legacy of accomplishments and controversies. As the Philippines continues to navigate its future, it is crucial to draw inspiration from these historical figures and forge a path towards inclusive and responsible governance.

The Philippines is known as CATHOLIC Nation in Pacific Region with 90% of population is Catholic followers. However, the actions of the leaders contrary to the doctrine of Christ to forgive and to reconcile as one Nation journeying in life under the WISDOM OF LAW and POWER OF LAW and KNOWLEDGE OF LAW.

In Computerizing World refers as UNIVERSAL SOCIETY time under millennial goal, all Leaders and people both in Spiritual and non-Spiritual must be united as a NATION, in order to reach its ultimate goal in power to be a foundation of the UNIVERSAL SOCIETY. This is the main objective of publication of Book. Furthermore, purpose of the Author is not to destroy anyone involves of the History but to remind them that our goal is to fulfill GOD’S WILL established in our HEARTS and Working in our MINDS (Hebrews 10:16).

16 “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”

The Philippine GOLDEN AGE describes to us about the two stages of journey of leaderships. The first stage under MARCOS era for 20 years (symbolic of Body’s journey as a Nation) founded by GOOD and HOLY VOTE of the Nation and ended in bad image in the eyes of the world as nation without body’s unity, dignity and prosperity as inheritance of the new generations. A second stage under Aquino Leaderships for 30 years (symbolic of Power’s journey as a Nation),founded by drastic actions (EDSA I and EDSA II) and ended a wrong direction of journey as Nation establishes shameful/Disrespect characters as traveler Nation without direction.

Being a solitary Nation in ASIA and lately followed by East Timor founded by CATHOLIC DOCTRINE, our mission is to forgive those who sinned against us and to reconcile the enemies. Unfortunately, it is not the way as exactly happening in the Philippines. Leaders known as anti-Marcos groups continues destroying Marcos’s generations, which is caused of scattering and division as Nation.

It is not the mission as we are expecting for, therefore, people’s judgment about them is using the bad image of MARCOSES in exchange of covering up the corruptions and incompetence leaderships. Just to remember that division of journey as a nation will not be in progress and will be ended as shameful/disgraceful State. It summarizes as part of the good lessons of students in eternal life and Kingdom with faces great sufferings and sacrifices under Divine Loved.

A Mutual SACRIFICES as needed to obtain a progress and peace, our missions is to prepare a good path of the next generations to come. If we continue and adopting present characters of leaders biting each other, definitely, such goal in life will not be in success.
