This book is about the Tarot of Marseilles. The Tarot of Marseilles is the collective name for a special old design of Tarot cards. This name was first used by Papus, a French physician, hypnotist, and popularizer of occultism, in 19th century. But after that, for a long time this design of cards was called Italian, because it features Italian suit signs, and it comes from Italy.
In France, these cards appeared in the 17th century, and not only in Marseille. The name ‘Tarot of Marseilles’ was finally introduced into use by Paul Marteau, who published in 1930 the book Tarot of Marseilles.
As already mentioned, the Tarot of Marseilles is the collective name for a number of decks. This book will focus on the Swiss deck by Claude Burdel, created in 1751. It was these images that formed the basis of the cards that eventually became so popular throughout Europe.
This book provides a description of the deck, the interpretation of cards for love, business, health and other aspects. Also, the book includes a creative section on creating cards with your own hands: coloring and cutting out cards.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers with a primary interest in Tarot cards.
