I am living and working in Burma (Myanmar) already since 25 years and have visited the Golden Wonder Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon (Yangon) already many times. But I am still not tired of it and am visiting the Shwedagon again and again. And each time I am there I find something new; things I did not see before or things I did not pay much attention to because I did not know the story behind them. Whether or not the Shwedagon Pagoda is a wonder is a question that can be discussed but what is not open to discussion is the fact the it is a wonderful place to be; and that for more reasons than one. In this book I am writing extensively and detailed about the Shwedagon Pagoda including its history. I am describing in great detail how the Shwedagon came to be and how it is presenting itself nowadays to the world. You are heartily invited to accompany me on a visit to the Shwedagon. You will be amazed about what I have to show and to tell you.
